We are united in Christ Jesus

United in Christ Jesus: There is no doubt that God did the ultimate for us, He gave his son to die for our sins that we may have life. What are we doing as born again believers to demonstrate God's love?

Day 10
Col. 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, scythian, bond nor free; but Christ is all and in all

Today's Focus: Pray that we will continue to grow as a multicultural church

Today's text: Ps. 24:1; Ezek.18:4; 1Cor 9:22; Tit. 2 :11; Rev. 5:9
Hello there
I have not seen anything new on this blog, why aren't you guys saying anything. That aspect of the fast is over but fasting is not over. I am continuing with the material that I have so feel free to join in. I need you guys to sign up and share your high and low moments. This is a wonderful way to share with a wider community that will benefit from your experiences. The bonus is that as you write you are relieved from the overwhelming feeling, writing is therapy. This is a place where you get to vent, say what's on your mind and have a community of people praying for you. Oh the wonderful feelings you will experience when you know that you are not alone!!!
Come on brothers and sisters let us have a sharing party and let God have His way with this.
JAMES 5:16 encourages us to confess our sins to each other and pray for each other so that we may be healed. That is God's instructions to us! We should never lock up our hurts and fears inside of our hearts because we want to be private. That is disobedience, God does not want us to suffer but because of pride we suffer in secret and so do not fully enjoy the liberty that God has already afforded us.
We should truly live by every Word that God has given us. Remember that little song we used to sing in Sunday school, "Every promise in the book is mine, every chapter every verse every line..." it is true and so we should believe it and live by it. Let us stand on His word and everything will be how God wants it to be.

I look forward to 'share from you'

Looking to the hills Ps. 121

We truly have to look to the hills, to God from where our help comes. Not from another person, truly God use people to get what He needs done and we should make sure that we have avail ourselves totally to the will and purpose of God.
How do we do that?
We should take our eyes off of ourselves for a minute every now and then, now more than then and catch a glimpse of others. Especially others in the household of faith, who have needs that we can help with out of our provisions that God has blessed us with. We must be discerning, seek God for the spirit of discernment. We must ask God to show us physical, spiritual, emotional needs around us and to guide us in making a difference.

Day 9
Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people.

Today's Focus: Pray that your church will expand the spreading of the Gospel through Evangelism, Missions and Outreach and through various forms of media in a spirit of excellence.

Today's readings; Matt.28:19; Acts 1:8; Col.3:17

Read, meditate, talk with God, wait upon Him quietly. Post your thoughts and go forth in obedience to the Word of God.

I feel that the texts today really strengthens my desire to reach out more to the unsaved because the saved people do not need us telling them about this Savior. It is the 'world' that needs to hear, we spend much of our time with believers, which we should do in building up one another. However, I think that we should spend a little more time on the mission field as God has directed us in Matt. 28:19. We are already armed with the tools we need as stated in Acts 1:8 and if not, we should seriously fast and pray, asking God to lead us into His will with that regard.
We then will be able to live out The Word in Col. 3:17.

My sister Sam and I (in Georgia) have invited my sister Tavia out in California to do this with us as well. It has been an awesome experience so far, in strengthening our relationship with God, through His word. Also in drawing us closer to Him through meditation on what we read; and learning to wait upon Him in quietness, learning to know His voice.
